2013 Calendars

I thought I would stop in and show you a few of the calendars I made for gifts this year. Last year I did this post showing how I made then and where I got the inspiration. These were such a big hit last year, I decided to do them again...maybe I'll make it a tradition.

I found that the new pattern paper from Papertrey Ink works great for the tops. This saved me from stamping all of them.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend and a Blessed and safe New Year.

Gift Card...Cards

Merry Christmas. I hope all of you have had a wonderful day with family and friends. Our day was blessed with wonderful family, great food and gifts.

A couple of the gifts we gave were gift cards. I thought I would stop in really quick and show you the cards I made to put the gift cards in. These are such a fun way to dress up your gift.

When I attached the piece with the pull tab, I didn't attach the right side. If you do it makes it hard to get the gift card out, even after they pull the strip of paper off.

Thanks for stopping by,

ColourQ 168

Can you believe there is only one more week until Christmas? I still have so much I need to get done. I always tell myself I'm going to start early and I never do. Maybe next year ;) Today I'm sharing my card for this week's ColourQ.

I told myself when I sat down to work on this that I wasn't going to make a Christmas card. I have so many of them already. Well, no matter what I tried it just wasn't working. So, I ended up with one more Christmas card.

Here are this week's colors:

I hope you're not too busy to join us this week.

Dynamic Duos #33

It's Black Tie week at Dynamic Duos. This week we are pairing up black with gold and a dessert option of a music theme. This will  be our last challenge of the year. We are taking a little break for Christmas and New Years. We'll be back on January 5th and we'll be starting off the year with some great colors.

Here is my card for this week:

I was a little intimidated by these colors when I first saw them. Not the black...but the gold. I never use gold..what the heck am I going to do with gold? So, I started to dig and score!!! I found some gold embossing powder..whohoo. The stuff is so old, I'm surprised it still worked..haha. I stamped the large bell directly on the card and die cut the small bell and bow. I attached the bell with my dots and the bow with foam tape. I'm really happy with how this turned out.

Here are this week's colors:
As always, thanks for taking the time to stop by. I know this time of year we all get really busy, but I hope you can find the time to join us this week.

I hope all of you have a blessed Christmas and a safe and happy New Year!

Seize the Birthday

I'm so excited. The wonderful Lesley has created a new challenge blog! I don't know about you, but the cards I give out the most are birthday. Lesley's new challenge blog is all about birthdays...for him and for her. This is going to be such a fun challenge. The blog is called Seize the Birthday. Be sure to head on over there and check out the details.

In the mean time she's having a linky party. All you have to do is create a new post with a birthday card. Super fun way to kick off the new challenge.

Here is my card.

I played around with my inks and a little water. I stamped my various ink colors on some of my clear stamping blocks. Using a paint brush and some water I "painted" my image.

I hope you can join in on the fun and support Lesley and her new challenge.

Thanks for stopping by,
Deanna

Product Spotlight Medium Pine

Happy 12-12-12! I wonder how many people are getting married today? It's product spotlight time over at DeNami. Didn't we just have a product spotlight? Wow, my weeks are all running together. That seems to happen this time of year. Between my daughter's 21st birthday on the 16th and Christmas right after that, sometime I don't know if I'm coming or going.

I stamped the Medium Pine with white ink at various heights. Doesn't it look cold? Reminds me of when I was a kid and we would go up in the woods and cut down our Christmas tree. There was always so much snow. You had to shake the tree to get all the snow off so you could see what it really looked like. Of course they looked so pretty and then you get them home only to find they weren't as pretty as you thought..haha. Now we all have fake ones. To be honest I love having a fake one. I can put it up really early.

This stamp is 10% off for one week. Head on over to DeNami to get some more amazing inspiration from the rest of the design team.

ColourQ 167

It's time for a new set of colors over at the ColourQ. Last week we had blues..this week we have greens with a little red to mix it up. Green is my all time favorite color so I loved putting this card together.

I just love this crackle stamp from Papertrey Ink. I think it makes such a striking background. I stamped the crackle first in Ripe Avocado then stamped the holly leaves in Simply Chartreuse. I orginally stamped the red berries then I remembered I had these red pearls.

Here are this week's colors:

CAS(E) this Sketch #8

Stopping in really quick with a card I made for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch.

I finally gave in and got myself some Stampin Up! ink and paper. Well, I should say my husband did because it was a Christmas gift :) I just have to say that their ink is amazing. It stamps so crisp and covers beautifully. I also got a couple of stamp sets from them including this one...love it!

I stamped three of the larger flowers on a separate piece of cardstock and fussy cut them. I attached them to my card using my dots.

The sketch:

I hope you have a wonderful evening.

DeNami Pretty Packaging Blog Hop

Welcome to this month's DeNami Blog Hop and what a fun one this is going to be. This month's theme is pretty packaging.  If your following along you should have arrived here from Amy's blog. If not, and you want to start at the beginning you can go here.

I just love this snowflake from the Ornamental Centerpiece Set. My Christmas tree is decorated in snowflakes so I thought this would be perfect for under my tree.  I stamped the image in white then used a Copic marker to color in a few of the open spaces. I was going to do all of them and decided that was a lot of work. To finish it off a added the twine and tag..super cute!
Thanks for stopping by. Your next stop along the hop will be Pattie. Have a wonderful time. I"m sure there is going to be a lot of inspiration today.

Here is my card:

I die cut the ornaments then I went through all of my other dies to see what patterns I could come up with. You can't see it in the picture, but I put Glossy Accent on the light pink. In person it's so pretty.

ColourQ 166

Happy Tuesday! I hope all of you had a nice weekend. I've been a little under the weather..thanks to  my loving family for sharing thier cold with me. My husband pretty much has me on house arrest so I had a very productive crafting weekend. We also put our Christmas tree up. This is our daughter's last Christmas at home (she's getting married in August) so it was a special time spent with her.

This week at the ColourQ we have blues...lots of blues. Here is my card.

This week a did a really simple single layer card. I created a mask using two pieces of paper then stamped lots of snowflakes.

Here are this week's colors:
I'm looking forward to seeing lots of blue this week. If you're looking for some additional inspiration you can check out what the rest of the design team created over at the ColourQ.

DeNami Challenge...Celebrations!

Are you ready for a super fun challenge? If you said yes, then you've come to the right place. The theme for this month's challenge at DeNami is Celebrations!!

Here is my card.

I kept my card very CAS. I die cut the gift and stamped it with the rosebud from the Whimsical Flowers set. I stamped the Ribbon Topper on the white square then attached the gift and added the sentiment. To add just a touch more color I decided to add the scallop along the bottom.

Here you can see the different dimensions I used. I attached the gift with my dots and the square panel with foam tape.

I hope you can play along with us. Be sure to stop by DeNami so you can check out what the rest of the design team created. There you will also find a set of rules. There is a $20.00 DeNami Design online gift certificate that could be yours.

Dynamic Duos #31

Happy December 1st! Now that it's officially December, the tree is going up today and the rest of the decorations are coming out. I've started on my Christmas cards so those will be done in the next couple of days. As for the shopping, I haven't even thought about that yet.

Well I'm stopping in with my card for this week's Dynamic Duos challenge.

This week's colors say Christmas to me, but I've been making so many I decided to mix it up a little. I stamped the leaves and used a Copic marker to add just a touch of color to them. I die cut the flowers and attached them to the card using my Dots. After I had the flowers attached I decided to add the black to the centers. They just needed a little something to make them pop.

Here are this week's colors:
I hope you can find time to join us this week. Don't forget to stop by Dynamic Duos and see what the rest of the design team created.
