Muse #27

Happy Saturday! I hope all of you are having a wonderful relaxing day. My daughter and I just got back from doing her hair trial for her wedding...she is going to be so beautiful. Anyways, I thought I would stop in with a card I made for this week's Muse challenge. I adore Tracey to pieces and love her style.

These colors are a little different from what I usually do. I'm trying to think outside the box more and play more with color. I really like this combo.

Sunday Afternoon Wedding Project

We are down to 34 days until our daughter gets married. If you follow my blog you know this is a DIY wedding. We have had so much fun putting everything together. Today we put together a couple of the flower arrangements for the doors that will go behind the bride and groom.

My mom came over and we set everything up in the garage..turned on some Beach Boys and had so much fun together. I have to say for none of us having a clue what we were doing, I think they turned out amazing!! In the second picture you can see some of the doors. Wait until you see the whole thing, it's going to be so pretty.

ColourQ #198 & Cas(e) this Sketch #37

For the first time in over a month I sat down at the Kloset and created a card. I didn't realize how much I missed it. I sure hope I don't have to wait that long before I get another chance.  I made a card for this week's Cas(e) this Sketch and ColourQ.

Once again Arielle has given us a great set of colors to work with. I don't have Bermudda Bay so I used Pool Party instead. And I'm thinking I'll be adding this sketch to my sketch book..super fun to do.

I'm Still Here

I thought I would stop in and let everyone know I haven't dropped off the face of the earth...haha. Life has been very busy. I'm into my second week at my new job. Things are going really well but my brain is so tired I don't feel like doing anything except veg out on the couch. Then you add to that the fact that my daughter is getting married in 44 days just adds to my busy life. We are in full wedding mode around here.

I haven't had time to make anything new for the past couple of weeks...I know sad right? I did make this super sweet card awhile back so I thought I would share it with you.

I'm still in love with the stamp set. I stamped a vase from PTI Mega Gracious Vases and then just arranged the flowers until I liked them. I added a boarder..you know I love to do this to finish it off.

Invitations Have Been Mailed

After a lot of work, but lots of love put into them, my daughter's wedding invitations finally went out in the mail a couple of days ago. You might remember this post from back in January where I gave you a little peek at what they were going to look like. Here is what they look like all done and put together.

Every invitation was hand stamped. This flower is a two step stamp so each flower had to be stamped twice. Once with the dark purple and once with the light purple. Plus I had to do a lot of masking. I purchased the card pockets and matching envelopes at Cards & Pockets.

Here you can see what is on the different pull outs on the right.

Yes, after stamping these I hand cut every one of them out..all 80 of them.

They may have been a lot of work, but I had so much fun putting these together for my daughter and future son-in-law.
