ColourQ #190

Happy Tuesday. It's time for a new set of colors over at ColourQ.

Here is my card:

I've seen a lot of people making cards that are tilted and thought I would give it a try. I really like how this turned out. I tried using the Midnight Muse in with the pattern and it was too dark, so I used it for the sentiment instead.

Happy Friday! It's time for a new challenge over at Fusion.

Here is my card:

I've had this set for a long time and I've used once I think. I figured it was time to ink it up. I stamped the umbrella then stamped the polka dots and fussy cut it. Before attaching it to my card I stamped the sentiment and drew my lines. I did another one with pink instead of the blue..so cute!

Seize the Birthday #17

It's time for a new sketch at Seize the Birthday.  Remember this sketch will be for two weeks and you can make either a femanine or a masculine birthday card. For the next two week's we have Bugaboo Digi Stamps for our sponsor. One lucky winner each week will get to select 7..yes... 7 free digital images!

Here is my card:

I have several Bugaboo images and love them. This little guy is so sweet and great for those men in your life that like to fish. I actually colored him back in December and ended up not using him at the time. I don't have a list of Copic colors..sorry.

ColourQ # 189

It's Tuesday already. Wow, where did that week go? I hope all of you moms out there had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. Mine was pretty low key and that's the way I like it. Time with my beautiful family is enough for me. Well, I'm here with my card for this week's ColourQ.

Here is my card:

Look....I made a single layer card! I now, shocking, right? I just felt this card didn't need it. I really like the large sentiment stamps from Papertrey Ink. They make a great focal point and don't require a lot of other stamping.

Dynamic Duos #18 & CAS(E) this sketch #27

I had a little time today to do some stamping. I went looking at my favorite challenges and decided to play along with Dynamic Duos and CAS(E) this sketch. Dynamic Duos is celebrating their one year anniversary..congrats!! I was so blessed to be on the design team for this amazing challenge.

Here is my card:

For the anniversary of Dynamic Duos you get to select any past color duo you want. I decided to go with Poppy Parade and Lucky Limeade. I don't have Poppy Parade so I used Riding Hood Red instead. I stamped the leaves on the kraft and the flowers on a separate piece of paper and fussy cut them and attached them with my dots.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

Blessings,
Deanna Jean

Fusion #6

Happy Friday friends. I'm here today with my card for this week's Fusion challenge. I know I did a wedding card last week, but it is wedding season and I didn't have anything in my stash.

Here is my card:

This card went together so fast. I already had the heart, rose and leaves cut and colored. I always keep anything extra I make and don't use. You never know when you might be able to use them. To create the stripes on the kraft I used VeraMark ink.

This week's sketch & inspiration photo:
I hope you get a chance to join us this week. Be sure to stop by Fusion and check out what the rest of design team created.

Deanna Jean

Seize the Birthday #16 Week 2

Welcome to week two of Seize the Birthday's sketch #16. If you missed the announcements about the challenge changes, be sure to stop by Seize the Birthday and get the details.

I don't know about you, but I love the new two week schedule. There are so many times I see a challenge I want to play along with and can't get a card done in time.

Here is my second card using sketch #16.

This week we have The Cutting Cafe' as our sponsor once again. I've had so much fun working with their images. Love this owl from their Fun With Owls set. I had no idea what colors to use so I hit the web to see what I could come up with. I found this and loved the colors.

I printed the branch directly on my card base and the owl was printed on a separate piece of paper and fussy cut and attached with my dots. I used my white Gelly Roll pen to add the detail to the leaves and the owl's chest and eyes.

ColourQ #188

Happy Tuesday to all of my friends out there in blog land. It's time for a new set of colors at ColourQ. Arielle has given us a beautiful set of soft colors..perfect for Mother's Day cards.

Here is my card I made for my Mom.

I'm so in love with these flowers! I love how big and bold they are. I stamped the large flower in the corner first, then made a mask and stamped the other two. I did the same for the leaves. On the leaves I stamed the base, let it dry, then stamped the center with the same color.

This week's colors:
I hope you can join us this week. I always look forward to seeing your amazing creations. Be sure to stop by ColourQ and see what the rest of the girls created.

Dynamic Duos #51 & Retrosketchs #62

It was so great to see what the new design team at Dynamic Duos created for their first challenge. If what I saw today is any indication of what the next six months holds..we are going to see some amazing things! It seems weird to be on this side of the challenge but so fun to still get to play along. The new sketch it up at Retrosketches so I decided to combine the two.

Here is my card.

I stamped my flowers on a couple of different colors of patterned paper and fussy cut them. I just have to say...I love polka dots:) They are so fun. After I stamped the sentiment I added the double lines to match the flowers and stems.

Fusion #5

Happy Friday. I'm stopping in with my card for this week's Fusion challenge. With Summer upon us there are a lot of weddings in the near future, so I thought I better build up my stash.

Here is my card:

To keep the end of the stripes even, I created a mask where I wanted them to end. I fussy cut both of the roses. I attached the bottom one directly to the card, then cut the edge off even with the card. The second one I attached with my dots for some dimension. I love how it turned out. Another design to add to my favorites.

Here are this week's sketch and photo inspiration:
I hope you can find the time to play along this week. If you're looking for some more inspiration be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has created.
