With Deepest Sympathy

I've been making way too many sympathy cards the last couple of weeks. My daughter's friend from school recently lost her dad after a very long battle with cancer. His passing hit both us of pretty hard. For me, as a mom, I think of all the things he won't be there to see his daughter do. My daughter is getting married next summer and I can't imagine her dad not being there to walk her down the isle. Or to see her get her masters degree in a couple of years, or hold her children someday.

Give those you love a big hug today and tell them how much you love them while you still can. I pray God gives her peace and comfort during this very difficult time.

  4. I love the layering of white card stock and stamped images. This is the first time I've seen the crackled background and it really is very pretty. So sorry that you have had the need for a sympathy card .. they are always so difficult to make.

  11. Gorgeous sympathy card....so sad that you have to have them! I do have a question about the crackle stamp....I've seen you use it here lately and I am wondering how easy it is to "match" up with itself? It looks very seamless when you stamp it and I know it is a smaller stamp. Do you use a stamp positioner? Or just eyeball it? I am contemplating getting it, I love it so much!

  12. you have made a beautiful card that is heartfelt and I am sure it will be received with all the love you've put into it. It is so difficult sending these cards but it helps the sender as well as the receiver you know? I'm sorry for your loss - I try to remember your reminder (about telling those you love every day) - its a very good thing to practice :-)
