Hi friends. This is my second post for today. Be sure to scroll down and check out my card for this week's Card Concept challenge.
The new Fusion challenge sure is off to a great start. Last week's inspiration photo was amazing and this week's is no different.
I tried for some Fusion but I just couldn't get this week's sketch to work for what I had in mind. For my card I stamped the flower on the right directly onto my card. The second flower was stamped on a separate piece of paper and fussy cut. I added the yellow with a Copic marker..love how it turned out. I attached the second flower with my dots for a touch of dimension. I orginally wasn't going to add any of the dots. Well I left a smudge of black ink just above the flower on the right...yep the large yellow dot it now covering up my mess :) I actually think it looks better with them. So I guess my smudge was just ment to be.
The challenge:
As always, thanks for taking the time to stop by.
Blessings,
Deanna Jean

The peonies look beautiful Deanna, love the way you've colored them!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Deanna, that is still one of my favourite PTI stamps!!
ReplyDeleteOh...I know that cover up trick...been using it fairly often! Great choice to use an enamel dot to cover it...those are so trendy now. Love the beautiful coloring on your flower...and the super-sized sentiment makes a great design statement.
ReplyDeleteFabulous! i see another winner with this beauty~
ReplyDeleteFabulous colouring & perfectly placed smudge Dana ;) LOVE it!

ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Deanna!!! Awesome coloring and perfectly placed dots. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. I love how you colored the flowers and the dimension you added. And, great job covering up the smudge. I would not have suspected--handy that your smudge was exactly where an enamel dot would look great.
ReplyDeleteThat smudge was fortuitous! I love the yellow dots with your beautiful peonies! This card is elegant and beautiful, Deanna! Fabulous work!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is gorgeous! I love how you coloured in the flowers!
