Christmas Made Easy Thanks To Lisa

Sorry I've been MIA. The holidays have begun and life has gotten very busy. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Ours was very low key. My little family went to my parents house..here is town..and it was just the five of us. Mom cooked enough for 10 though so you all know what that ment..lots and lots of leftovers. I love me a good turkey sandwich but I think I've had enough for awhile..haha.

I've been spending a lot of time crafting. I just finish up 40...yes 40 Chrismas cards. Now I just need to address the envelopes and get them in the mail. I've also been busy making Chrismas gifts. The wonderfully talented Lisa Johnson created this great little desk calendar not too long ago. It was love at first sight. Can you say wow? Well right away I new what all the ladies in my life were getting for Christmas.

I wanted to get started on them right away but I didn't have any of the calendars. My husband told me to make my own, so I did. With the help of my computer savvy daughter we came up with these. Sorry for the bad quality photos. I didn't want to deal with my light box..it was really late at night.

Here is a page with 6 months of calendars. After I printed them I cut the page in half so it would fit in my Big Shot.
Using my 2.5 square Spellbinder die I cut out each month.  I knew I needed more space at the top so I could stamp the month. I just eyed it.

Here is one cut out. Haha..can you tell I use my Big Shot a lot? Look at that poor plate. :)

After I stamped the months on them I held them together with clips. I then took my Tombo glue and glued up the top edge. This way each month can just be pulled off.

Now on to the calendars. Here is what I have come up with far. They are so much fun to make. They're pretty much just a card with a calendar on the front. And check out that calendar, I was so pleased with the way they turned out.

For the inside I used a piece of 4 1/4 x 5 paper and scored it at 1, 2.5 and 4.

Thanks for stopping by.

Deanna
