Make It Monday #5: Distressing Edges

Man oh man...another challenge way outside my comfort zone. Don't get me wrong, I love the distressed look but just never do it. I get in a rut and before you know it all my cards start to look similar. The Make It Monday challenges have been really good for me.

Here is my card.

 
I distressed the edges and showed it to my husband and daugter and they told me it wasn't distressed enough. So, I distressed it some more...haha.

Stamp set: Love Birds and Flower Fusion #1
Paper: Ocean Tides, Vintage Cream and  Fine Linen
Ink: Dark Chocolate and Summer Sunshine
Impression Plate: Lines and Canvas
Ribbon: Hug Snug seam binding colored with Copic marker #E47

    Love that you embossed with the linen plate, looks so cool! And I like the bird on top of the cage, I always just stick them inside.
