Dynamic Duos #39

Happy Saturday! I hope all of you are having a wonderful day. I'm stopping in today with my card for this week's Dynamic Duos challenge. It's week two so that means we have some beautiful subtle colors for you to play with.

Here is my card:

At first I was a little worried about this color combo. My first thought was baby, but I just did one of those a few weeks ago, so I knew I didn't want to make another one. I tried a few different ideas before I finally came up with this card. To give the leaves the two shades, I used the stamp from the Turning A New Leaf set. I let that ink dry and stamped over it with the leaf from Embroidered Blooms. It makes it look like I used two colors of ink, but I didn't. For the stripes on the edge, I cut a piece of paper an inch wide and stamped the stripes at an angle. My card front is attached with foam tape and my flowers are attached with my dots.

Here are this week's colors.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you can join us this week. I always love seeing your creations.

  1. What a beautiful card. Thanks for the tip about the ink on the leaves and letting it dry in between stamping.

  3. Beautifully done. These are somewhat difficult colors to play with, and you've managed to make a striking card. Love the stripes along the edge, and of course, the leaves and flowers are quite sweet. Well done! Bev
