Seize the Birthday #16 Week 2

Welcome to week two of Seize the Birthday's sketch #16. If you missed the announcements about the challenge changes, be sure to stop by Seize the Birthday and get the details.

I don't know about you, but I love the new two week schedule. There are so many times I see a challenge I want to play along with and can't get a card done in time.

Here is my second card using sketch #16.

This week we have The Cutting Cafe' as our sponsor once again. I've had so much fun working with their images. Love this owl from their Fun With Owls set. I had no idea what colors to use so I hit the web to see what I could come up with. I found this and loved the colors.

I printed the branch directly on my card base and the owl was printed on a separate piece of paper and fussy cut and attached with my dots. I used my white Gelly Roll pen to add the detail to the leaves and the owl's chest and eyes.

This week's winner gets their choice of three sets form the shop.

The Cutting Cafe is your one stop for affordable cutting files and printable stamps. We offer several different files in just about every occasion from Birthdays to several different Holidays. Come on by and check us out. I am sure you will find something you like.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you can join us.

Blessings,
Deanna Jean

  5. Usually I'm not a big fan of owls, but this one is so sweet! Maybe it's your coloring, or maybe it's his surprised look, but he's mighty cute. Perfect color choices too. Great card. Bev
