I'll Try That

Okay, so I'm always on the look out for new techniques and ideas to add to my card making. While in Pinterest Land..oh you know, that place that will eat up a couple of hours of your day in no time...I found something I wanted to try so I followed the link to Sending You A Little Smile.  I'll just say view at your own risk. You just may want to give this a try like I did.

Here is my card:

I decided for my first try at this I would use an image that Mariska did so I could pretty much copy what she did. I used Wee One from WeeStamps. Boy am I glad I did that. There is no way I would have figured this out on my own. It's hard to see from this picture, but there is a lot of layers and a lot of fussy cutting going on here.

You can see it better in this picture. Some of the pieces are cut out and then layered on top of the others. Each piece that you cut out is edged with a black marker. Then you use a stylist tool to add a little bit of a bow to each piece. Then using this special glue and a syringe you start to attach the layers. The end result is so amazing. I loved the process, and actually found it kind of relaxing, but I don't think I would do this on a regular bases. It look me just over 4 hours to complete this one card...crazy I know!

Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings,
Deanna Jean

  7. What a cute card.

Time consuming? Yes, but well worth it the end result is stunning.

I make lots of decoupage cards so the result is similar (I think).
